Pothos 'Golden'

from $16.00

Botanical Name: Epipremnum Aureum

Common Names: Devil's Ivy

Pothos are arguably the easiest houseplant to grow. Nicknamed the “devil’s ivy” for having the ability to not only survive, but thrive in hellish conditions. It’s a long-growing, leafy vine that can reach 40 feet or more in tropical jungles. It usually confines itself to about 6 to 10 feet in containers, but don't be surprised if yours just keeps growing. Thus, commonly grown as a hanging houseplant. Clippings can be taken from this plant to start a new pothos plant.

NATIVE LAND: southeastern Asia

WATER: Give your pothos a drink of water every 1-2 weeks. Allow the soil to dry out between waterings. Always water him/ her more when exposed to brighter light and less in lower light settings.

LIGHT: bright, indirect light. He/ She can tolerate medium to low indirect light. Can not withstand direct sunlight.

ISSUES:

  • wilting - underwatered, your plant is thirsty!

  • yellow leaves - overwatered/ over-loved

BENEFITS: One of the best perks about adopting a pothos is that they are high on the list of plants that can help purify indoor air.

PET/KID FRIENDLY: Mildly toxic to children and pets
