Our Story

“ After fulfilling the need to bring nature into our home, we began to realize that they have personalities and preferences just like us. Some like it hot and humid while others prefer a dry and arid environment. We began to realize that, truly, plants are people too ”

We, Alicia and Dennis, are military veterans and service members with a collective 22 years of service under their belts. We have done a great deal of traveling and seen the sun rise and set in 12 different countries. We now reside in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia where we have transformed our home into an urban oasis and orphanage for plants in need of a loving home. One theme we always agreed upon when settling into a home together is that we were always happier when nature was brought inside. The visuals of a thriving tree in the living room always brought a breath of fresh air to the room and a collection of 6ft bamboo shoots lining the kitchen began to feel like standard practice.

When asked about why we care for plants so deeply, we explain not only the physical benefits, but mental benefits of caring for and simply coexisting with greenery in our living spaces. There’s the obvious benefits: we provide carbon dioxide to them and in return they provide cleaner oxygen to us. But perhaps less known are the mental health benefits of having greenery take over your home. We began to feel a release of stress and anxiety and a gradual improvement in our mood just from seeing lush greenery in our living space. Our plants became family members with very particular personalities. We began to realize that our plants are people too.

Our intention is to bring that same warmth and breath of fresh air to our customers’ homes, spreading the joy of existing with greenery to your side. We hope you’ll accept our invitation to welcome our plants into your indoor spaces to not only purify your air, but in return give you a more productive and serene lifestyle.
